Proposal Manager (Track and Trace Solutions)

We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Proposal Manager to join our team specializing in Track and Trace Solutions. This role bridges the gap between sales and technical teams, providing pre-sales support, technical consultation to ensure successful implementation and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of track and trace systems, such as barcode scanning, serialization, aggregation, and line integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-Sales Support:
- Client Requirements: Transform client needs into competitive proposals that align with organizational capabilities and financial goals.
- Bid Coordination: Lead and coordinate the entire quotation process, from reviewing customer requests (RFP, RFQ,....) to conducting bid/no-bid analysis and establishing timelines.
- Commercial Oversight: Develop clear win strategies for each bid, ensuring all products/services are included in the final price to the customer.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate quotation process and gather inputs from sales, marketing, product teams, compliance, finance, commercial, legal, and project management/delivery.
- Post-Submission Analysis:
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously refine and improve bid processes, templates, and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Conduct product demonstrations, explain technical features, and address client concerns.
- Manage standard documents and create a library for technical documents, including system architecture, hardware, and software components.
- Solution Design & Consultation:
- Assess customer needs and design tailored Track and Trace solutions, ensuring the integration of hardware (e.g., barcode scanners, RFID, printers) and software components (e.g., ERP, WMS, Serialization Systems).
- Work closely with the engineering and product teams to align customer requirements with product capabilities.
- Post-Sales Support:
- Serve as the technical point of contact for issue resolution and ongoing support, ensuring customer satisfaction during project implementation
- Monitor and analyse the performance of deployed systems, offering optimization recommendations.
- Monitor and track bid performance metrics, support analysis of win/loss data, and conduct post-bid debrief sessions with CRO to identify areas for improvement.
- Product Knowledge & Industry Expertise:
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of track and trace solutions, industry standards (GS1, GMP, 21 CFR Part 11, etc.), and evolving technologies.
- Provide feedback to product management regarding customer requirements, competitive intelligence, and industry trends.
- Sales Process Enhancement:
- Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical expertise during client meetings and presentations.
- Support the quotation process, and build the necessary tools to have a clear visibility on our pricing model
- Assist in developing marketing and sales collateral, including technical data sheets, case studies, and white papers.
- Identify opportunities to improve the sales process through technical insights and data analysis.
Key Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a technical sales support role, preferably in track and trace solutions, industrial automation, or supply chain technologies.
- 5+ years of experience in project management in industrial solutions
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of track and trace systems, including barcode, serialization, industrial packaging process, and related software.
- Knowledge of integration with ERP, WMS, or MES systems.
- Experience with hardware setup, software configuration, and troubleshooting of traceability solutions.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Team-oriented with a customer-centric approach.
- Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, training, and on-site support.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Software development capacities to automate Excel & Word for a fluent sales process.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
